Nathan Peto has held the position of City Manager for the City of Portage la Prairie, MB for the last six years. Prior to this, he held leadership positions within various organizations, including the City of Brandon, Brandon Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, Brandon University, and the Canadian Armed Forces.

He holds a BA Honors degree from Brandon University, an MPA from the University of Victoria, and graduate certificates in Municipal Administration and Municipal Leadership from the University of Manitoba. He is an alumni of the CAMA Executive Leadership Program and a Distinguished Toastmaster from Toastmasters International.  Committed to continuous professional development, he also recently received his Credentialed Manager designation from ICMA, the International City/County Management Association.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Nathan resides in Portage with his wife and three children. He is actively involved in the local Rotary Club, serves as a Board Member for Shared Health Manitoba, and acts as President and Head Coach for the Portage Wolves Youth Rugby Club.
