An organizational needs assessment (ONA) is a systematic study of employees’ learning needs, interests and priorities. The joint committee carries out an ONA to make informed decisions about the overall design of the program, course curriculum, and learning strategies. It raises the visibility of workplace learning, and helps the committee gain the support and confidence of the workforce.
